swamped

These places must be reeeeal busy these days. How on earth do they stay in business?

And so go the dinosaurs.

Reminds me of those seduced by the riches awaiting typewriter repairmen.

I wonder how it feels when your entire field has been replaced, rendered utterly obsolete. The evolutionary equivalent of the mastodon. No future.

Did you see it coming? Could you adapt in time? Do you live in an SRO and drink cheap wine?

Generation Y has a vague idea that typewriters existed but the idea of a repairman for such things must seem obsurd. In a few years knowledge of typewriter repairmen will be wiped out as if big brother and the ministry of information decided we didn't need to know about them.

was at antonios last week- the used typewriter shop next store is still open-surprised they haven't been bought out by a bar. They are widening the sidewalk in front of antonios though...
