new wheels
I am the proud owner of a 1987 Toyota Camry Wagon. Thank you Sarah & James!
Yesterday, I sat in the car and listened to the Vanishing Point soundtrack. Until I can actually drive it, I think the Camry is my new clubhouse.

Ah, I am very familiar w/this particular vehicle. You, my friend, have just bought (or lucked into) a slice of history.
One fateful night comes to mind instantly. After James and I found ourselves a little buzzed we decided to head to Pedro for a Christian socializer. I was handed the controls to this vehicle and as if guided by the hand of god got us to Pedro very safely. On the way back the sight of those Christian girls were still dancing through my head and left me slightly more than impaired to drive. Making the transition from 110 to 10 I took this little beauty up on the median and made the diaper James was wearing very prophetic. We both survived my off roading exhibition and James was finally able to see what this fine piece of machinery could do.
The car's handling gets an A+ for sure.
spoday
i dont know if you realize this car has been upgraded! this car (allthough very stout) did not come with the beautifull sterio it now contains! The old sterio was not up to par to the true specifications this one of a kind vehicle has implied and proven. the old radio also happened to not like me. one lushly sunny afternoon i offered it some lovely music on cassette. i know ... i know ... cassette.... but it was a wonderfull rendition of "kick start my heart" performed by enya... (early years) anyway.... she took the plastic as if it were cake! As delighted as she seemed, she would not play it nor spit it out... i was forced into a surgical situation that i had not been in since i used to date spoday. ... It ended bad.. :( i did recieve my cassette back ..., but that radio never did play a cassette again
please ... a momment of silence
As the original owner of this grand driving machine, I feel a special attachment. This sleek beauty guided me magically from the South Bay to Brentwood every day for six years, through 78, count 'em, 78 stop lights plus assorted 4-ways. Why, you ask? The philosophical intent of your question can only be answered by the Zen-like inscrutability of the Camry herself. The Camry hit several things, never on purpose or at fault, a swerving motorcycle one time, a parked car another, lifting the rear end of the stationary vehicle off the ground after the Camry had been appropriated by an unauthorized user for an illegal purpose. I played many cassettes in that car, including The Pretenders and Steve Windwood. I'm glad she has a good home.
